'Silver Ball' Pear

Hardiness: Hardy to Zone 4b.
'Silver Ball' Pear has excellent midwinter hardiness but matures late and may be injured by early severe freezing temperatures in more northern climates. Foliage is silver-green in color. It has small leaves and fine texture. Holds foliage late in fall and does not develop a fall color. The small, white flowers open in the spring after foliage emerges. The fruit are light brown in color and remain on the tree until eaten by birds. It has a dense, wide spreading rounded crown. Tree grows to 12-15' in height with an equal spread.
