Hardiness: Zone 3. Ornamental features: the foliage provides an accent color in the landscape during the entire growing season. Newly emerging leaves are rosy red in color with a bright golden yellow base. As leaves mature they become darker and are deep burgundy color at maturity. Flower buds are light pink opening to 1" wide clusters of small white flowers that contrast nicely with the foliage. After comopletion of bloom, the developing seed heads are bright red in color becoming tan as they mature. Plants grow to 8-10' in height and 6-8' wide. The plants are rapid growers are new shoots can be cut and used in floral arrangements.
