Research Network

Much of the Center's research is conducted as cooperative efforts. We have individual researches at many different institutions across North America that are currently involved or are interested in becoming involved in the research underway. These "research participants" are all doing research in their respective institutions that relate either directly or indirectly to achieving the goals of the Center. Their own research is supported by their respective institutions and through grants that they obtain. Although only a few of them are involved directly in plant breeding research, many do plant evaluation or research that leads to a better understanding of how plants tolerate different stresses. Information gained from that research helps us plan and conduct our research more effectively since this network provides important access to a wide variety of plant collections and test sites in different geographic regions.
